Pilgrim’s UK Westerleigh Team Donates Surgical Gowns to Support NHS
The Pilgrim’s UK Westerleigh team recently donated more than 1,600 gowns to the University Hospital Bristol to support medical students.
The local National Health Service team came to the site picked up 27 boxes, which contained gowns that will help the trust during this unprecedented time.
“We all know the amazing work NHS staff does, but more so since this pandemic started,” said Hayley Hodges, HR Manager, who has been liaising with the local NHS trust. “We wanted to show our appreciation and gratitude, so when we learned about the leftover gowns, we thought why not put them to good use.”
The Westerleigh team is always looking for new ways to support its local community and throughout the covid-19 pandemic have made several donations to East Bristol Foodbank to help people in crisis.
“The trust has expressed their appreciation and thanked everyone for the kind donation,” Hodges said. “We know how difficult their job is right now and we hope our gesture will help. All the Westerleigh team appreciate what the NHS do and we are proud of our key workers.”
